The punishment of native crime and colonial public order

Cote d'Ivoire, like all French colonies, suffered the legal and social ravages of colonization. The legal and social system of the colonized was destroyed. A foreign system, based on individualism, was imposed. To resist this destruction of the colonized's fundamental values, based on communitarianism and the balance of natural forces.
