The corporate world in Thierry Beinstingel’s work

Changes in managerial methods are shaking up our daily lives, not to mention relocations, redundancy plans and lay-offs carried out for the benefit of the beneficiary company, which, in a context of fierce competition and the constant quest for profitability, is seeking to cut costs and staff numbers at all costs. This study looks at the ruthless world of the company and modern management in Thierry Beinstingel's novels, Central (2000) and Retour aux mots sauvages (2010). It looks at the ills associated with work in this new world where dehumanisation and managerial novlanguage reign supreme.
