This volume entitled Insights: Essays on Literary and Cultural Discourse is a collection of critical writings from diverse field like idea of "home" and its representation in fictions, women and freedom, supernatural and mysticism, gender and performativity, wealth and fiction, art and technology, insurgency and resistance and tradition and modernity.Each chapter focuses on a specific, representative author/s, catered across the world. For instance, there are authors from North East India, India, Nigeria, Europe and Japan who have found a place in the chapters. To this, chapters on music, animation and cinema add other variety to the subject of the volume.The volume is a good read in the sense that it is the voice of many first-time critics, which is an indication that how an author is appealing to, and is being received by, a generation.
