The path chosen in this publication is the result of a study that converges in the perception of myself. It is an academic production where the main subjects are the students in concomitance with my professional performance that obviously is not separated from a political performance, resulting from who I am, woman, black, teacher, in short, the various interfaces that make up my identity. In this sense, discussing the racial issue in Brazil is for me more than an obligation, it is a political stance that understands the historical legacy of over three hundred years of slavery and the need to combat inequalities and discrimination rooted in everyday life and in the social imaginary. May this book inspire other actions in this direction. Gratidao!
