Irrigation Schedule and Nutrient Management in Wheat

The present study was carried out in the agricultural farms of Department of Agriculture, Rabindranath Tagore University, Raisen (M.P) falling in the Vindhyan Platue of Madhya Pradesh during the Rabi seasons 2020-21 and 2021-22. Cultivation of wheat crop was subjected to different irrigation scheduling and integrated nutrient management treatments. The pooled data estimated revealed that maximum plant height, Maximum shoot dry matter accumulation, highest number of tillers was observed under One Irrigation at CRI & one irrigation before flowering and an INM application of 50%RDF+ [email protected]/ha. Irrigation scheduling. One Irrigation CRI stage recorded maximum leaf area index (2.65 and 2.59, respectively) during both years of experiment. Application of 50%RDF + FYM @ 5.0 t/ha found significantly highest LAI and test weight of wheat crop. However, One Irrigation at CRI & one irrigation before flowering recorded maximum number of spikelets per ear (28.06 and 27.65), highest grain count (44.35 and 45.08) and test weight (31.01 and 31.04 g). Maximum available N, P and K was recorded under the treatment I0 (No irrigation).
