There has been, in recent years, an explosion of interest on issues pertaining to roles of women on diverse issues, but little attention has been given to roles of women in Igala Indigenous Religion. This study examines roles of women in Igala Indigenous Religion. The objectives of this study are to investigate the Igala women's influence on the traditional Igala society, to bring to limelight and to refute the assertion that Igala women do not contribute in any way to their community and the nation at large. The methodologies adopted in this research are comparative analysis, descriptive, historical narrative and analytical approaches. This has helped in bringing out facts concerning this research for documentation, preservation and to be passed on to the younger generation, before they are lost and forgotten. African Religion, which is part of a rich heritage, has influenced our cultures, and given African peoples their world-view. The research found out that, apart from the roles, Igala women play as wives, mothers, educators and teachers of the children in social, ethical and moral values.
