This work was developed in the semi-arid region of Alagoas between 2007 and 2010 with the aim of studying the biotechnological bases for obtaining goat milk and its environment. Goat milk microorganisms were isolated and identified in two settlements, the chemical characteristics of local forage plants were studied, and the study of Trapia (Crataeva tapia L.) was deepened, the prevalence of goat endoparasites was identified in several municipalities of the semiarid region of Alagoas, and Garlic (Allium cepa L.) was tested in the alternative control of these endoparasites. We also studied the influence of the supply of the mineral Selenium on the mineral salt recommended for goats and the inter-relationship with the other minerals Calcium, Phosphorus and Soluble Iron and also Fat, Lactose, Protein, Somatic Cell Count and Milk Colony Forming Units of goats.
