Summary of the Book: Chapter I present the introduction of the book. This chapter briefs about Aluminum, fundamentals of corrosion and its types used in Aluminium. Chapter II and III summarizes the relevant review of literature along with scope and objectives of the study.Further consequent Chapter explain about the Anodic alumina coatings were synthesized by Al anodizing in bath 1, bath 2 and bath 3. The conditions for getting better quality coating were optimized by carrying out the anodization at various concentration, voltage, time composition and temperature. The properties of the synthesized anodic alumina coatings obtained from the above baths such as thickness and growth rate are evaluated. The effect of anodizing parameters on the properties of the coatings has been studied. From the studies, it can be concluded that the properties of the alumina coatings increase with increase in the concentration of the electrolyte. High voltage (above 60 V) leads to the dissolution of the oxide coating. Among the three electrolytes maximum thickness 19.9 m and growth rate 0.3 m/min is obtained in composition of succinic acid with oxalic acid electrolyte at cooling system.
