Este livro que se apresenta teve como objetivo geral analisar a gestao de uma instituicao escolar que tem perfil, funcao e simbolos militares, identificando aspectos que se relacionam ao Principio Constitucional da Gestao Democratica. Foi tomado como unidade de estudo o Colegio Tiradentes da Policia Militar de Minas Gerais. O estudo despertou interesse diante da tradicao militar dessas instituicoes em ser uma escola marcada pela burocracia e rigidez na sua organizacao estrutural e funcional. Contudo, diante das mudancas no sistema educacional e a necessidade de democratizar a gestao escolar, muitas mudancas e adaptacoes tambem nessas instituicoes militares podem ser identificadas.
