In this project knowledge of correlation was thought essential for making improvement of genetic characters. Therefore correlations on phenotypic, genotypic and environmental levels were included in the present investigations. Path coefficient analysis for working out the direct and indirect effects of the different attributes was taken up in dahlia germplasm. The germplasm was a large collection of material, so the genetic divergence in genotypes was also included in the studies. Since dahlia is one of the most beautiful flowering plants which requires sincere attention for conducting a planned research project.
