A paranormal story. For those afflicted with the gift, of morbid curiosity. Young brothers, Jack and Mortimer Boros finally return to the glorious, two faced city of their birth. A job opportunity in a mysterious new facility brought them back, years after the fall of their household. Mort aims to restore the family name. While Jack simply wishes to guard what is left of it. At the same time a masked and mute doctor, launches a secret investigation deep into the slums. The identity and goal of this disguised individual, are key to solving the mystery behind the evil organizations threatening the city. Synopsis In an age just before the advent of industry and science, the giant, unique facility is regarded with a side of caution by the masses, including Jack. On the other hand, Mortimer with his inquisitive nature, is quick to entrench himself within his new job. He is eager to learn more about the inner workings of the facility. Despite the difficult manual labour, both brothers, along with the rest of the quirky workforce, come to trust and enjoy the many benefits offered by the master of the facility. Yet, none grasp their employer's, true, plans for them.
Back in their hometown. Jack and Mort must come face to face with old acquaintances and their past. At the core of which, the man responsible for their current life and ruined household. Their father, Victor Boros, who wants them gone.
Meanwhile, the masked doctor has only recently returned to the city as well. By exploring the slums, the doctor receives a deeper view into the darker side of life. In spite of the inability to speak, the doctor communicates via written word. Appearing as a good Samaritan to people in need of aid, the doctor only asks for information as compensation. Eventually however, the doctor ends up asking too many questions. Which draws the attention of some of the most dangerous people in the slums.
Everything changes drastically when all three of the main characters, separately discover and meet her. A lone young woman living in isolation, named Marigold. Whose actions will change their lives forever, as things take a turn for the supernatural.
