This book, the first in a series of three, is a study of the spouse of the Virgin Mary, the glorious St. Joseph, his life, work, virtues, gifts, sufferings, prayer and role in the Holy Family, giving in all a practical guide for the spiritual growth of the readers.
What I am writing is not based solely on a filial sentiment to St. Joseph, but everything will be based on the teaching of the Holy Scriptures, the Fathers of the Church, the right doctrine and the writings of saints, doctors and great theologians in the history of the Church. That is to say, I will apply, with God's favor, dogmatic theology, in the study and exposition of the figure of the saint whom the Church herself has named her Universal Patron and whom the Humanized God Himself dignifies by calling him "father".
There is still much to say about St. Joseph. It is such a vast subject that no matter how many books could be written and we could gather them all together, they would not be able to cover the totality of the brilliance that our Joseph possesses. This is because his brightness has a perennial timeliness, as well as a captivating tonality for men of all times; words will never be enough to describe him, the artistic image will never be enough to represent him, because there will always be great discoveries that will force to write new perspectives and depths about this humble carpenter of Nazareth. Blessed be God for that!
