Retired in 1997, then as a freelance patterner and sample maker, she produced wholesale clothes and casual wear. She joined to several workshops and learned how to make shoes from Katsumi Shigeru. She works on sewing pattern designs, production of paper patterns, development and sales of handicraft kits and publications in Europe and Asia and also teaches sewing class.
