Vladimir Evgrafovich Waldenberg (1871-1940) historian, one of the most cited in the world of Byzantine Russian scientists. Born in Moscow, he graduated from the law faculty of St. Petersburg University, defended his thesis The law and the right vfilosofii Hobbes , later studied the problems of the similarities and differences of Romance and Germanic and Slavic political concepts. Old Russian doctrine on the limits of royal power (1916) is one of the most significant works by Waldenberg, which was the perhaps the first Russian monograph on this subject. According to the academician N. Nikolsky, this book is important for historians, for issledovateleydrevnerusskoy literature. B.
