In December 2023, Juergen Teller's pictures and work were on display everywhere in Paris, following the opening of his major solo exhibition "i need to live" at the Grand Palais Ephemere-in nine metro stations (sometimes running for 40 meters), inside lightboxes, on 72 Morris columns and on hundreds of posters and flags. The Sun Will Rise is a documentation of Teller being all over Paris, alongside installation shots of the exhibition at the Grand Palais Ephemere and later at Triennale Milano. The result is a new constellation of images within images where art and commerce, reality and fantasy blur in exactly the unpredictable ways Teller loves. "i need to live," he says, but it's clear his images need to live too.
