Ausgerechnet im Gefangnis schrieb Rosa Luxemburg eines ihrer bekanntesten und sicherlich bedeutendsten Werke. Die 1916 veroeffentlichte und auf Grund eines Verbots zunachst illegal verbreitete Schrift ist die wohl am besten dargestellte politische Analyse der Sozialdemokratie, die seit Marx und Engels von einem Anhanger des Marxismus verfasst wurde.
