The Symposium of the Bible Translation Forum took place on 26-27th May 2016 at Fjellhaug International University College, Oslo, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian Bible Society. Nine presentations were given on various topics connected with the Science of Bible translation. This yearbook has been compiled in honour of this celebration.Articles focusing on theological questions, are Comparison versus Exclusion (Gunnar Johnstad), and Young Woman versus Virgin in Old Greek Isa 7:14 (Hans-Olav MOrk). Translation challenges are represented by the Evenki Bible Translation Project (Stefano Cotrozzi), and Concluding Formulas for the Kings’ Reigns in 1 and 2 Kings and 1 and 2 Chronicles (Peter Schmidt), as well as Translation Theory and Bible Translation - Models of Translation (Eberhard Werner), and Military Metaphors as a Challenge to Bible Translation (Mathias Nell). Missiological topics covered are the History of Nubian Bible Translation (Roland Werner) and the History of Danish and Norwegian Bible Translation (Eberhard Werner). The Yearbook includes words of greeting from Wycliffe Germany, Wycliffe Norway and the Forum Theology on the occasion of the anniversary.
