What do emotions such as anger and happiness enable us to do that we could not accomplish without them? Do emotions have their own epistemic value, for example in the political realm? How can profound changes in emotional experience, such as those associated with psychiatric disorders, be described? Can feelings be "inadequate" in the same or at least similar way that, say, beliefs can be false?
