Die vorliegende Studie befasst sich mit der Anforderungs- und Definitionsphase im Prozess des Software Engineering fur ein Industrieholzunternehmen. Sie geht zunachst auf die theoretischen Grundlagen bei der Erstellung von Individualsoftware ein und diskutiert den Begriff der ‘Klein- und Mittelunternehmen’ im Zusammenhang mit der oesterreichischen Volkswirtschaft. Die Darstellungen von Geschaftsprozessen des Unternehmens bilden anschliessend die Basis fur das Lasten- und das Pflichtenheft des Softwareprojekts ‘Holzfirma’. Aufbauend auf den Inhalten dieser beiden Dokumente leitet der Autor Entity-Relationship-Modelle fur wesentliche Geschaftsprozesse ab. Abschliessend werden ein Ausblick auf die spatere Benutzeroberflache der Software ‘Holzfirma’ sowie eine grundsatzliche Einschatzung von Individualsoftware fur KMUs gegeben.
