This work presents photographic works by Christian Andersen. The conceptual artist and designer creates elaborate photographs via computermontage that reconstruct explosions of places and objects meticulously. Andersen blasts places that are of special importance to him, for example his own studio and a friend’s car. In addition to the five core pieces, he keenly assembles lowtech black and white photographs to illustrate temporal, spatial and human correlations. Andersen has a very strong personal relationship with all of the places and objects shown. This emotional background is a premise for the dedication demanded for each pictorial explosion, ie approximately 3 months of intense work. This project is Andersen’s declared monument to his closest surroundings.
