‘Bubalin’ und ‘Bovidien’ in Suedmarokko: Kontext, Klassifikation und Chronologie der Felsbilder im Mittleren Draa-Tal

The rock art of southern Morocco can be divided into three main phases. The petroglyphs of the oldest phase, which includes the periods of the Bubalin and the Bovidien, cannot be associated with any ethnographic or written records and are commonly considered testimonies of a cultural change brought on by desertification. This volume studies the rock art of selected sites in the middle Draa Valley and proposes a revision of this inadequately substantiated interpretation. German text.
