The thesis offers deep and instructive insights into the empiric context of forced marriage and a critical discussion of a whole bunch of legislative measures from the area of the penal right, family right and stay right to reduce this phenomenon in Germany. The work deals first with an arrangement and evaluation of the up to now won empiric knowledge to the phenomenon of forced marriage which serves in particular to investigate points of departure for juridical preventive measures. In the second step it is examined whether the measures taken by the legislator are really likely to guarantee the necessary protection and where still legislative need for action exists. Besides, the main focus for the sacrificial protection is on the criminal pursuit of forced marriage. But also the variform and complicated dovetailing socially, stay, families, and criminal questions is made clear.
