Palliative Sedierung im stationaren Hospiz: Konstruktion einer Ethik-Leitlinie mittels partizipativer Forschung

The author takes up a current, ethically reflective topic in the practice of inpatient hospice care: the permanent deep palliative sedation at the end of life. As part of the participatory research process, recurring ethical questions and uncertainties were identified that exist in the inpatient hospices in the context of the treatment option. This volume, however, not only explores the potential for ethical conflict, but also offers hospice practice a concrete, action-guiding procedure towards ethical decision-making: an ethical guideline. The book combines nursing science research with practice-related replica; it combines sensitization for ethical reflection with ethically based decision-making.
