Education in South Africa underwent a complete overhaul since the introduction of Outcomes Based Education(OBE). Hence, the call for paradigm shift to teachers in the teaching fratenity. One way of honing the teachers’ skills is through in-service training. The study focused on the provision of in-service training for teachers from a district. They were from rural and urban schools as well as from resourced to under resourced schools who attended the same in-service training. The study was aimed at finding out whether the in-service training was an enabler or not to teachers faced with contrasting situations on a daily basis. The findings were that teachers had myraid issues about the kinds of in-service training they underwent. Their comments range from positive to negative. This book offers recommendations to improve in-service training. It will assist teachers, school principals, subject advisors and in-service trainers in educational field in general.
