Sie eroertert die Erklarungsansatze zum Agrammatismus, wobei sie verschiedene Ansatze der Defizit- und der Strategiehypothese beleuchtet. Im Rahmen des Adaptationsansatzes untersucht sie, ob in der agrammatischen Sprache von Aphasikern sprachlich korrekte Ellipsen verwendet werden oder ob es sich eher um Auslassungen, unvollstandige Phrasen und fehlerhafte Ellipsen handelt.
