Diese qualitative sozialwissenschaftliche Studie geht der Frage nach, welches Wissen dem sozialarbeiterischen Handeln zugrunde liegt und inwieweit dieses Wissen explizit - also theoretisiert - vorliegt. Im Ergebnis zeigt sich, dass dieses Wissen der Sozialarbeit oft nicht explizit ist, sondern dass diese im Wesentlichen aus einem impliziten Wissensbestand heraus - haufig intuitiv - handelt. Mit dieser Studie wird der Versuch gemacht dieses implizite Wissen explizit zu machen und eine Professionstheorie der Sozialarbeit in der Psychiatrie zu entwerfen.
