Museumsinsel Berlin

It is one of the most well known locations in Berlin: The Museumsinsel. Declared a World Cutural Heritage by UNESCO in 1999, along with its famous art collections, the unique museum ensemble is also an impressive piece of architecture. This book, for the first time, presents a series of photographs which investigate the Museumsinsel, its urbanity and its architectural uniqueness.

Maximilian Meisse creates with the camera an historic architecture, which seeks to detect the latent essence, the buried and forgotten ‘Spreeathen’, which reveals an overwhelming presence in the Museumsinsel.
