The work of Heinz Mack (b. 1931) has given art a new foundation. Going beyond the materials traditionally used to make works of art until the middle of the twentieth century, his sculptures and paintings, installations and spatial designs are innovative vehicles for the visualization of light in previously unknown manifestations.
