British artist Tacita Dean (born 1965) was recently commissioned by The Royal Opera House to collaborate with choreographer Wayne McGregor and composer Thomas Ades on a piece inspired by Dante’s The Divine Comedy. Presented here in three parts, the ballet mirrors Dante’s journey through the realms of the dead: Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso.
