Leo ZTolstoi schrieb seine Novellle Die Kreutzersonate in den Jahren 1887-1889 und benannte sie nach Beethovens Violinsonate A-Dur op 47. In deutscher Sprache bereits 1890 erschienen, durfte das Werk in der Originalsprache erst ein Jahr spater 1891 erscheinen.
