Wie bereits das Einbandbild verrat, handelt es sich dabei nicht unbedingt um Kindermarchen. Es sind im Ursprung Volksmarchen, die sich durchaus bisweilen durch eine etwas derbere Sprache (die allerdings durch die plattdeutsche Sprache gemildert wird) und nicht immer kindgerechte Details auszeichnen koennen.
