Jeweils im Sommer und im Winter von 2003 bis 2008 besuchte ich fur ein paar Tage meinen Sohn in Dublin. Dort und in weiteren Orten Irlands habe ich viele Menschen internationaler Herkunft getroffen, fluchtige Bekanntschaften, die mich beindruckt haben genauso wie die Stadt selbst. Ausserdem sah ich zahlreiche Ausstellungen wie etwa Walking on O'Connell Street von Julian Opie, mehrere Installationen, von denen eine auf dem Foto des Buchdeckels abgebildet ist.
