Carl Friedrich Ferdinand Boehme machte den Feldzug 1812 als Sousleutnant und Verpflegungs-Offizier im Grenadier-Bataillon von Spiegel (Grenadier-Kompanien der Regimenter Prinz Max und v. Rechten) mit. Er focht mit dem Bataillon bei Wolkowysk (15./16.11.1812) und Kalisch (13.02.1813). Sein Tagebuch enthalt neben interessanten Einblicken in den Verpflegungs- und Truppendienst einen gezeichneten Plan zur Schlacht bei Wolkowysk.
