Spater schlagt er leidenschaftliche bis ungestume Tone in deutscher Sprache an, widmet sich dem seelsorgerischen Zuspruch, dem praktischen ethischen Rat, richtet dogmatische Fragen an die Amtstrager. Das Briefwerk Luthers ist in den letzten Jahren in den Mittelpunkt des theologischen Interesses geruckt.
