Jolan Rieger ist Diplom-Psychologin, sie hat an der Universitat zu Koeln von 1968-1975 Psychologie studiert, dort 1975 ihr Staatsexamen als Diplom-Psychologin gemacht. Sie ist ausserdem Buchautorin und Bildende Kunstlerin mit internationaler Anerkennung. Damit ist sie auch eine Vertreterin Deutschlands auf dem Gebiet der neo-expressiven-figurativen Malerei.
