Der angstliche Zirp und der verfressene Rollewanst arbeiten fur die Sandmannfabrik als Traumuberbringer. Jeden Abend fliegen sie auf einer Mondtaube unerkannt zu schlafenden Kindern, damit diese schoen traumen koennen. Da Zirp und Rollewanst einerseits noch recht unerfahren, andererseits sehr tollpatschig sind, unterlauft ihnen eines Tages ein Fehler. Sie werden von einem Jungen entdeckt. Jedoch schliessen die Mannchen und das Kind schnell Freundschaft, was zu so manch kurioser Situation fuhrt. Almut Weitze ist Verfasserin wissenschaftlicher und belletristischer Bucher. In erster Linie schreibt sie Lyrik und Kurzprosa. Etliche Gedichte hat sie selbst vertont und u. a. im Album Someday veroeffentlicht.
