Im August 1942 flohen Julius und Berta Stern in Baden-Baden vor der Deportation in den Freitod. Sie wurden verbrannt, die Asche an Angehoerige abgegeben. Seither waren sie vergessen. Die vorliegende Publikation tragt zusammen, was an Spuren zu finden war, in der Heimatstadt Offenburg, spater in Baden-Baden, wo Julius Stern am Gymnasium als Altphilologe unterrichtete.
