Plimbari printre idei si emotii contine in cea mai mare parte eseuri, dar si unele texte cu un accentuat caracter emotional-subiectiv (de ex. o convorbire cu moartea). Acest amestec intrucatva extravagant a fost de mine dorit. La inceputul cartii eseurile trateaza teme aparent superficiale sau banale: despre usi, despre poduri sau despre o lumanare. Am vrut sa imi demonstrez ca si pe astfel de teme se poate ajunge la ganduri si concluzii ceva mai profunde. Spre sfatsitul cartii reflexiunile devin, pas cu pas, din ce in ce mai profunde pana la adevarate dizertatii filosofice ca in textul numit Tacerea, cifra zero si linistea si, mai ales, cel numit Culoare si Fiinta. Cartea incearca o sinteza a celor doua ipostaze: Ratiune si Emotie.
