With the help of numerous historical documents, he traces the lives of these women and the atrocities they committed. The different approaches to the prosecution of these perpetrators in the two states of Germany, and the omissions that are highlighted, are thought-provoking. Some of them escaped punishment and were able to lead carefree lives without remorse until the end of their days.
