Patience Worth was allegedly a woman who had lived in the 17th century contacted by Pearl Curran who claimed that the collection of poetry and prose she produced was the result of her channelling Worth’s spirit. Worth’s writings, which coincided with the revival of Spiritualism, received critical acclaim and were very popular. This book published in 1916 publicizes Curran’s claims and whilst it does not reach any definite conclusion, the author considers the case to be unexplainable by any naturalistic theory.
