Jack Foley's poems are poetic texts by a poet of the US West Coast beat scene who became an experimenter. The title of the poetry volume is also the title of a long poem, which, like another poem in this volume, evokes Foley's Irish roots. Other poems are dedicated to people like the poet Michael McClure and the photographer Robert Fisher. It is no coincidence that the last poem in the volume is dedicated to Walt Whitman...
