En los ultimos 10 anos Costa Rica ha experimentado el impacto de la migracion hacia las zonas urbanas, seguido por el incremento en la demanda de vivienda de calidad y accesible economicamente, en un pais donde el 22% de la poblacion vive en pobreza. Este trabajo pretende establecer guias para el diseno sostenible del medio ambiente construido en viviendas de interes social para las regiones calido humedas de Costa Rica. La investigacion se enfoca en proveer confort mediante la utilizacion de estrategias pasivas de diseno.
