Nach einer Konzeptualisierung der Parteiidentifikation im Ansatz der sozialen Identitat werden Messinstrumente aus der sozialpsychologischen Forschung zur Operationalisierung von positiven, negativen und mehrfachen Parteibindungen adaptiert. Mit den Daten zweier umfangreicher Studien erfolgt die Konstruktvalidierung der neuen Messinstrumente. Sie zeigt, dass es hohe Anteile multipler und negativer Bindungen im Elektorat gibt, die mit den Standardmassen nicht erfasst werden koennen.
