An authentic understanding of Valla’s philosophy should have been place through a re-contestualization of this work on a critical-philosophical level. So we have to recognize, on the one hand, the claim of nature’s posivity and the condemnation for abstract and static thought in favour to our emotional life as natural beings at all; on the other hand, it is only through amor Dei, namely summum bonum, that human being come to be pleased - that’s actually autentic pleasure, his beatitude state.
