Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Literaturwissenschaft - Allgemeines, Universitat Bielefeld, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: While creation science has for many years relied on a public verification of the Genesis story with respect to cosmological arguments, less has been said about Genesis with respect to linguistics. Nonetheless, creation science offers a clear-cut contention about the way the languages of the world have come into existence: by a divine artificer. The rejection of Darwinian evolution as means of natural processes of linguistic evolution are subject to creation science. This paper tries to tackle this very assumption by presenting evidence in favor of evolution by natural selection as an impetus for change within languages. Even more so, the paper will briefly deal with the advent of language in human beings as such, providing evidence in favor of a materialistic explanation for why human beings have language.
