Die Geschichte um die beiden Protagonisten Will Freeman und Marcus Brewer wurde 2002 durch Chris Weitz verfilmt mit Hugh Grant in der Hauptrolle. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurden die beiden Werke analysiert, interpretiert und verglichen; ein Schwerpunkt wurde hierbei auf die Charakterdarstellung der Figur des Will Freeman gelegt.
