Aviation is one of the fastest growing sectors worldwide and is responsible for a significant proportion of global emissions. In order to achieve the Paris climate targets, it is necessary to reduce emissions in this sector to a significant extent. Austria has set an ambitious target, aiming to become emissions-neutral by 2040. The objective of this study is to analyse the factors influencing the aviation sector in Austria and to identify the supply-side strategies and measures that can be employed to reduce emissions. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with a range of actors on the supply side. The analytical approach utilised a synthesis of inductive and deductive qualitative content analysis.
