Eindrucklich hat uns zuletzt die Fluchtlingskrise 2015 vor Augen gefuhrt, dass die Migrationsfrage eine der zentralen Herausforderungen unserer Zeit ist. Trotz des aktuell deutlich gesunkenen Migrationsaufkommens nach Europa bleibt die Lage volatil und es ist keine Zeit zu verlieren, neue Migrationsloesungen zu finden. Hierzu gehoeren auch die externe Dimension der Asyl- und Fluchtlingspolitik und die Frage nach legalen Einreisemoeglichkeiten in die Europaische Union, sowohl aus Grunden der Humanitat als auch zur Migrationssteuerung. Hier setzt die Untersuchung der Autorin an. Konkret entwickelt sie ein neues Migrationskonzept durch die Extraterritorialisierung des Asylregimes: Europaische Asylverfahrensstandorte in Afrika, in denen ein gleichwertiges Asylverfahren durchgefuhrt werden soll.
