The Dr. Johannes-Lepsius-Archiv encompasses a near complete documentation of the conflict-laden relationship between Germany, Armenia and Turkey, covering the era from 1895-1925.The whole editionis divided in three parts:

The Catalogue indexes both Lepsius’ correspondence and the official documents and publications of his relief organization for Armenia. At the same time it can be used as a finding book for the microfiche edition. The ‘numerus currens’ of the listed documents facilitates quick access to the original documents in question.
The Microfiche Edition contains comprehensive, hitherto unpublished documents, eyewitness accounts, flyers, Lepsius’ documentations ‘Armenien und Europa’ (1896), ‘Bericht uber die Lage des armenischen Volkes in der Turkei’ (1916) and ‘Deutschland und Armenien 1914-1918’ (1919) as well as full text versions of all journals recorded in the catalogue.
The third part, the Thematische Lexikon, gives access to the documents’ and journals’ contents by providing articles (in alphabetical sequence) on individuals and topics along with cross-references to relevant documents, journals and secondary literature.

For the first time, the valuable material of the Dr. Johannes-Lepsius-Archiv is opened up and made accessible for historical research and anybody interested in this highly topical question.
