Software engineering and the language Ada are playing amajor role in the development of software and softwaretechnology for the new century. The11th Ada Europe conference shows that Ada has maturedfrom a language, mainly of researchers and academics in theearly 1980s, into a full-grown tool in software engineeringpractice.
